Dear Prospective Instrumentation Engineers,

Instrumentation Engineering is an Engineering Branch, which finds its application in almost every field of life. It deals with measurement, control and automation in all types of industry.

The Instrumentation dept. has experienced staff members who are well versed with their technical subjects. The dept. boasts of its 100% result at the Final Year right from the first batch of Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering, Karjat.

In Instrumentation dep. we have three labs:

Labs are well established and developed According to the syllabus.

1. Process Instrumentation Lab :
In this lab, we have latest equipments like Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), PC based flow and level measurement and control unit, Digital PID temperature control unit, Calibration of Differential Pressure Transducer (DPT), I/P Converter, Hydraulic and Pneumatic trainers with various combinations of valves etc. We are also acquiring Advanced Distributed Control System this year.

2. Measurement Control Lab:
In this lab, we have all the types of trainer kits, which are related to basic measurement of different parameters like temperature, pressure, displacement, vibration, level, flow, strain, force etc. for the study of control systems, we have trainer kits like open loop and feedback control system, type 0,1,2 systems, Bode plot trainer kit, magnetic amplifiers, different types of relays, Data acquisition system etc.

3. Analytical Instumentation Lab :

In this Lab, We have most of the Analytical Instruments like Geigger Miller radiation counter tube, Gamma rays spectrometer, Desitometer-205, Double beam UV-VIS spectrometer, Calorimeter, and heart of Analytical Instrumentation i.e. Gas Chromatograph etc. In same lab we have Biomedical equipments like ECG, EMG, EEG, amplifier, Bio signal simulator, heart rate indicator etc. and all the types of trainer kits related to Industrial Electronics.
