Dear Prospective Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers,

The Department has experienced and well qualified staff. The laboratories are equipped with excellent training aids and state of art equipment.
 
There are 10  laboratories in the department : 
 
Electronics Circuit Lab – I & II :

These labs are equipped with adequate number of CROs, Function Generators, Power supplies, bread boards and components.These Labs are equipped with adequate number of CROs, Function Generators, Power supplies, Meters, Breadboards and various electronic components like Transistors & Analog ICs. There are number of Trainer Kits, to verify theoretical studies and design aspects in lab. The final year students are encouraged to take in house projects based on electronic designs. Design development tools like ORCAD p-spice etc. are used for simulation.

Switching Devices & Digital Circuits Lab :

This lab has Microprocessor Trainer Kits with 8085 and 8086 Microprocessors & Micro controllers. The lab also has logic analyser and bread board systems.  In these labs the students are practiced in programming of 8085 & 8086 microprocessors and 8251/8271 microcontrollers. The lab is equipped with Microprocessors Trainer Kits and Logic Analysers. All types of Digital IC's like Multiplexers, Demultiplexers, Counters, Flip-flops, and Comparators etc are used for verification of theory. Testing instruments like Digital IC Testers are used. The final year students are given guidance on design & implementation of microprocessor & microcontroller based projects.

Communication Lab:
 

This lab is equipped with trainers on Analog and Digital communication systems. Besides this it has CROs & Function Generators. Here students study principles of communication system. . In this lab different types of Analog and Digital communication systems are studied. Various aspects of electronic communications like Analog and Digital Modulation / Demodulation, Multiplexing techniques, AM & FM Trans-receiver systems are covered. To support these activities it has adequate numbers of trainers low & high frequency CROs, Function Generators, power supplies & Meters.

 

Advanced Communication Lab :
This lab is equipped with sophisticated equipments in Microwave, Satellite and Optical fiber communication. All types of  microwave components and devices are available. Besides components there are X Band & C Band Microwave benches to perform various experiments. Optical fiber communication practicals are conducted on OFC Trainers. For satellite communication Antennas and Receiver with Satellite Communication Trainer is available. The TV & Video practicals are carried out on TV Trainer. All types of Antennas System are held for practicals on Antenna & Propagation. The lab is equipped with state-of-art sophisticated Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Wobble scope and spectrum Analyser. This lab is equipped with sophisticated equipments in Microwave, Satellite and Optical Fiber Communications systems. Microwave benches & components in C & X bands are used to perform practicals. Optical Fiber Communication practicals are conducted on OFC Trainers. To study Satellite communication, Antennas and Receiver along with SATCOM Trainer is available. The TV and Video Engineering practicals are conducted on B/W and coloured TV Trainers. All types of Antenna systems are held for practicals on Antenna and propagation. The Lab is equipped with state of art sophisticated Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Wobblescope and Spectrum Analyser. Electronics CAD Lab :

It is a full fledged  computer Lab.  In this Lab EDL, Control, Digital Signal Processing Simulation practicals are conducted.  Various Signal Processing tools Matlab, DSP Kits are available for Analog & Digital Signal Processing.  For Electronic devices and circuits Matlab, Tina Software and many more tools are available.

 Electronics Design Automation Lab:

This Computer Lab is used for VLSI / Microelectronics, Computer Networks, Internet Communication Engineering subjects.  Xilinx, Matlab softwares are available.  This lab is also used for Project work.  Students are encouraged to work on design Project work in this Lab.

Special attention is paid to the students through personal interaction with staff and by counseling. They are motivated to participate in creative activities like software and Hardware Development. Students are also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities & Sports. The department has also started the Students Forum of Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in the college from last year.
